Spiders
Like ants, spider infestations are common in South African homes. Spiders come in tens of thousands of different species and many bite, so it’s important to get rid of an infestation as soon as you spot it. We know what to do when it comes to spiders, so give us a call.
SPIDER EGGS
If you don’t get rid of a spider infestation fast enough, you may give the females time to lay eggs. A single female spider can lay up to 1,000 eggs in one sac, depending on the species. In most cases, that sac of eggs is then hung in a safe place and watched over until the eggs are developed. Once they hatch, you’ll have an even larger infestation.
LIVING AREAS
Depending on the species of spider, you may find them in damp or moist areas like your bathroom or shed, dark areas like your wardrobes or behind furniture, or in crevices like wall cracks or wall and ceiling junctions. Look for spider webs, either stretched across corners or in cluttered areas. Also pay attention the spiders themselves. If you see more than one of the same species, contact us to evaluate your situation and act accordingly.
